FLORIDA - FLORIDA KEYS - MARATHON, FLORIDA - MARCH (2006) - MORE PHOTOS FROM KOOLWATER23
Species: Lemon shark, tarpon, snapper, barracuda, mackerel, nurse shark, goliath grouper
Location:Marathon, Florida (Florida Keys)
Comments: The lemon shark was caught on a large chunk of a blue fish fishing on the bottom. The shark was over 9 feet long and close to 300 pounds. The tarpon were caught on Berkley Saltwater Power Mullet fishing the area bridges at night. The big snapper was caught on a live grunt and the goliath grouper was caught with a ballyhoo chunk on a Deep Drop Grouper Rig . If you have a wave runner and want to have some fun, try trolling a ballyhoo at idle speed about 100 feet behind the waverunner around the islands in the area. We caught almost 100 barracudas in one day. All of our fish were released.
